It’s not that I ever thought you stupid
Or questioned anything you did,
I just felt at times it would be nice
If you’d, just once, take my advice.

I wish you’d heard me when I tried
To express how I felt inside -
I guess I felt I couldn’t depend on you
To do what I needed just because I needed you to.
